Many months ago, Mama mentioned to Ellie the possibility of her getting a bike for her birthday and since that day, she has professed to everyone that she “is getting a bike for her birthday”.
So we couldn’t really fail her. We celebrated her birthday a little early since we had family visiting, but her reaction when she got her bike was hysterical. She had this nervous laughter that she couldn’t quite believe she got a bike. She was a bit shaky at first, but within 24 hours she’s already zooming around. Taking an opportunity to see Granny, we went to Westow’s to play while it was cold and wet outside. While a little timid at first, Ellie got a bit more adventurous and started playing and moving around by herself. Continue reading “Playing in a soft-play area [VIDEO]”
On Christmas Eve, Mama had made plans long in advance to visit Raystede Animal Sanctuary, in Ringmer, near Lewes.
We were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was there, and we’d highly recommend visiting there and seeing all the animals in such a lovely environment. Continue reading “Visiting Raystede Animal Sanctuary”
Ellie’s Granny got her some cute reindeer ears to play with while she was here in England, and as usual, Ellie looks great in everything! Continue reading “Reindeer ears”
During the day today, we took some time to hunt down a Christmas tree. Mama really wanted a real tree to decorate, so we found a florist selling some trees and with the help of some spare decorations from Aunty Nicola, we were all set. Continue reading “Getting our Christmas tree”
Today, we headed over to Aunty Nicola’s house to see everyone again and to meet Granny.
We shared some Lebanese food, but more importantly, we played around with Granny, Aunty Nicola, Aunty Michelle and Max. Continue reading “Dinner at Nicola’s with Granny”
Our first few days in England were characterized by lots of sleeping, meeting family members and more snoozing.
Ellie met Aunty Nicola, Aunty Michelle, Uncle Andy, Aunty Sam, cousin Ace and cousin Max for the first time, and met Grandad and Dosh again. Continue reading “Ellie’s first few days in England”
We called Ellie’s Grandad the other day on FaceTime and she was giggling away at his silly faces and noises. Continue reading “Ellie laughing at Grandad on FaceTime [VIDEO]”
Ellie was lucky enough to have spent the past two weeks with her Grandad and Dosh (Tricia: my step-Mum). They’re the first of Ellie’s British family to have met her, and we all had a great time together. More photos will follow once I get their photos: apparently I didn’t break out my camera often enough!
Ellie has been especially snuggly this evening, and we’ve been making the most of it!
