This 4th of July, we took a trip to MA and NH to visit family, attend a christening and enjoy the summer in New England.
While there, Ellie got to know her second cousins Addison, Mason and Emmerson much better and enjoyed all sorts of outings and events, like the 4th of July parade, Santa’s Village and she even got to sit in the cockpit of the plane that took her to Boston! Many months ago, Mama mentioned to Ellie the possibility of her getting a bike for her birthday and since that day, she has professed to everyone that she “is getting a bike for her birthday”.
So we couldn’t really fail her. We celebrated her birthday a little early since we had family visiting, but her reaction when she got her bike was hysterical. She had this nervous laughter that she couldn’t quite believe she got a bike. She was a bit shaky at first, but within 24 hours she’s already zooming around. While spending time with family over Thanksgiving, Ellie got to see Uncle Tom and his new motorcycle. We let her sit on it and wear some of Tom’s glasses and the pictures are naturally adorable. Continue reading “Ellie’s first go on a motorcycle”
Ellie was lucky enough to spend some time with Tante Alexa this past weekend, who was home for a few days over Thanksgiving. Continue reading “Chilling with Tante Alexa”
With every time comes a hard goodbye. Ellie definitely wasn’t happy about saying goodbye. She had a great time with Shelly and misses her dearly. Continue reading “Saying goodbye to Aunty Shelly”
When Aunty Shelly was here, we went to the mall one day for a little retail therapy and stopped to have lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. Ellie was only too happy to sit with Aunty Shelly and draw. Continue reading “Lunch with Aunty Shelly”
We are fortunate enough to have Ellie’s Aunty Shelly (Michelle) staying with us at the moment and it’s fair to say that Ellie is having a blasty blast playing with her. Continue reading “Playing with Aunty Shelly”
Yesterday, Ellie saw Marti’s cousin gelling his hair, so she got stuck in too and let him give her a mohawk. It’s definitely the most impressive to date. Continue reading “A monster mohawk”
Aunty Shelly bought this outfit for Ellie when she was newborn. She started wearing it at about 4 months and here we are 3 months shy of her 2nd birthday and it still fits her like a dream! Continue reading “The magical outfit”
Ellie’s uncle Tyler (actually her first cousin once removed) is now living near to us, so Ellie has been spending a lot of time with him. In fact, she’d much rather spend time with him than with us. She’s constantly asking for “Ti-luh!”.
She has taken to this new activity of sitting on people’s chests or sometimes their necks, so I fear that we’re going to have our hands very full as she grows up, especially with a brother on the way! Continue reading “Playing with uncle Tyler”
